Located near Exeter, Clyst Vale Community College was suffering from a failing roofing system, with its existing flat roofs not only allowing water ingress, but also playing host to significant moss and vegetation growth.

With reactive repairs no longer providing long term weather protection, Clyst Vale Academy appointed TEC to lead the flat roof renewal works, across the majority of the school’s buildings.

Working within a live school environment, where both staff and pupils were present, our roofing teams worked safely to install new, high performing flat roofing materials to all identified areas. This included installing a Garland insulated, StressPly torch-on felt system, which is not only waterproof and puncture resistant, but also thermal efficient; with the college benefitting from reduced energy requirements.

Working safely both in term time and during school holidays, the college now benefits from an innovative, industry leading flat roof system, designed to not only stand the test of time, but all-weather conditions.
