Cattewater Harbour Comissioners Office, Plymouth

Programme: 24 weeks

Value: £395k

Maintaining order, safety and navigation for the Port of Plymouth, Cattewater Harbour Commissioners Office is an iconic, five storey structure on the city’s waterfront, and following years of water ingress was in need of a complete refurbishment. Kicking off the project by stripping the structure back to a shell, both internally and externally, extensive masonry, carpentry and roofing works were first undertaken to ensure the building was completely watertight.

Enhancing many of the building’s original historic features, and now used as offices, the building was fully fitted out; which included multiple offices, a boardroom and sleeping quarters, with respective amenity facilities. Transformed and regenerated, the Cattewater Harbour Commissioners Office is now a thriving hub of the city’s bustling waterfront.
